A Local Favorite: Fruit Hill Orchard in Palmyra
There's just something about cool weather and falling leaves that makes us Virginians want to visit an apple orchard. We pack our friends and families into the car and head west toward the foothills of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in search of the perfect place to wander through an orchard, run around a pumpkin patch, drink cider and eat freshly baked apple donuts.
And while it may be cliché and "everybody does it," it's still one of my favorite fall activities.

A New-to-Us Orchard
This time we found one we had never been to, and I must say, it's absolutely adorable. It's Fruit Hill Orchard, located in Palmyra on Thomas Jefferson Parkway.
They had everything you'd want in a fall orchard experience: the apples, the pumpkins, donuts, cider and the cutest little store that had plenty more.

So if you're tired of your usual apple orchard trip, I definitely suggest trying this one. Check out their Facebook page for more details!
