A Richmond Local Favorite: Rest in Pieces in Oregon Hill
It's a Halloween tradition here in the Richmond area to take a stroll through Hollywood Cemetery around October 31st. But have you ever wandered a block up Laurel Street to the fascinating shop called Rest in Pieces?
Part Store, Part Museum
I will tell you, this shop does not disappoint in its oddities or curiosities. It feels like part store and part museum, with its many displays of exotic mounts on the walls and shelves full of specimen jars.

They've even curated their own book, North American Mammal Skulls: An Illustrated Guide to Identifying Found Mammal Skulls.

More Than Taxidermy
They have one of the most unique, one-of-a-kind collections in the city, and it's constantly evolving. But it's not just taxidermy: they also have crystals, herbs, books, posters and so much more. Beyond retail, they also offer preservation services if you have specimens of your own.

So this year, after your cemetery tour, be sure to stop by Rest in Pieces, and if you meet Justin, tell him hi from us!
